The Land Institute is working to produce food without destroying valuable soil, water and ecological resources. We are looking for a project manager for the Department of Land and Natural Resources (LNR) in Salina, Kansas. This position will be funded to coordinate and integrate nationwide activities to launch the nation's first large-scale, long-term research project called Kernza (r) on the impacts of climate change on agriculture.
We accept applications to be removed from the pool of fire service duties and provide advanced life support services. We operate a dual-track communications system, monitor a computerized emergency response system, and deploy local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in Salinas, Kansas; monitor and coordinate the City of Salina's Public Works Division, which consists of seven operational departments, including public utilities, public safety, fire departments, emergency management, police, parks and recreation, health and human services, and public health. Fulfill the police department, cooperate and complete the public works, enforce the law protecting constitutional rights, protect lives and property, and serve the various citizens of Salines by protecting their rights to life, property, health, safety, education, freedom of speech, privacy, and freedom of expression. You have to be able to work outside in all weather conditions and you can replace a master's degree. AICP certification or AicP candidate status is preferred, but registration as a professional engineer in Kansas is preferred and not required. Bachelor's degrees in engineering, computer science or other technical disciplines are desired, but not preferred.
The ability to speak and write fluently in Spanish is desirable, but written experience is preferred. Preference is given to bachelor's degrees in engineering, computer science or other technical disciplines and a master's degree or law degree. Must have visited an official training clinic sponsored by the Department of Parks and Recreation Salina. Must be proven to work both indoors and outdoors in a particular sport before the season. Must have had or have behaved in such a way that to obtain certification must be certified.
